About The Owner

Neil Nierenberg has always been about his two primary interests, Music and Cars. After attending Berklee College of Music, as an instrumental performance major, Neil pursued playing the guitar for a living. As most musicians will tell, its’ a difficult road, after playing in working bands, and teaching guitar, for several years he found he needed a “day job” to make things work.

Neil then pursued his love of cars, and motor racing, in addition to his musical career. He’s managed parts and service departments, and worked on race teams for over 28 years.

Musical highlights include performing for several years with the former drummer from Skid Row, Rob Affuso, in “Soul System” and R&B horn band. Some of those performances include Super Bowl 2000 festivities and private affairs with guests such as Julia Roberts, Susan Serandon, Tim Robbins, Lenny Kravitz, Mike Myers and more. As a member of “Soul System” Neil also shared the entertainment roster with such greats as Stevie Wonder and Elton John.

Racing highlights include experience in Sports Cars, and Indy Cars, with stints with Carl Haas, and Newman Haas Racing, while Mario and Michael Andretti were drivers. Neil’s duties were racing parts support and tractor-trailer transporter operations. In addition Neil worked for LotuSport Racing, the US based sportscar team for Lotus USA, who’s drivers included Doc Bundy, Mike Brockman, from Motor Trend Magazine, and Andy Pilgrim, who went on to drive the GM Goodwrench Corvette at The 24 Hours of Daytona with Dale Earnhardt. The Autosport Indy Lights Team employed Neil later, as assistant team manager.

Neil still and will always perform as a guitarist, and there is a 1971 Lotus Europa in street-race prep trim in the garage.

After prompting from Neil’s son Matt, he decided to try a different approach and created Gardiner Eucalyptus Company. Stay “tuned” to see what happens!
